Former Mayor of Port Jervis endorses Karl Brabenec for Assembly

(PORT JERVIS, NY) – Russell R. Potter, the former mayor of the City of Port Jervis has announced his
Karl Brabenec
endorsement of Karl Brabenec for New York State Assembly in the 98th District.

"I had the pleasure of working side by side with Supervisor Brabenec for four years on many critical projects for the tri-state area," said former Mayor Potter. "Karl has a wealth of knowledge in local government and the energy and vision to get the job done, which will be a huge asset for the residents of this Assembly district, so I urge everyone to support his candidacy."

"Former Mayor Potter has a great record of accomplishment and was on the forefront of many positive projects in the Port Jervis area," said Brabenec. "I thank him for his confidence in me and I promise to work my hardest in the state assembly to make the residents of Port Jervis that he served very proud."

The 98th district seat was vacated earlier this year when Annie Rabbitt resigned to take office as Orange County Clerk. The 98th district includes the towns of Monroe, Warwick, Deerpark, Greenville, Minisink, Tuxedo, portions of Ramapo, and the City of Port Jervis. Karl Brabenec has been the Deerpark Town Supervisor since 2010. He announced his candidacy for the Assembly seat in December. He has been endorsed by the Deerpark, Port Jervis, and Minisink Republican Committees, in addition to Monroe Mayor James Purcell and Greenwood Lake Mayor Jesse Dwyer.
