"I had the pleasure of working side by side with Supervisor Brabenec for four years on many critical projects for the tri-state area," said former Mayor Potter. The 98th district seat was vacated earlier this year when Annie Rabbitt resigned to take office as Orange County Clerk. The 98th district includes the towns of Monroe, Warwick, Deerpark, Greenville, Minisink, Tuxedo, portions of Ramapo, and the City of Port Jervis. Karl Brabenec has been the Deerpark Town Supervisor since 2010. He announced his candidacy for the Assembly seat in December. He has been endorsed by the Deerpark, Port Jervis, and Minisink Republican Committees, in addition to Monroe Mayor James Purcell and Greenwood Lake Mayor Jesse Dwyer.
